2009 Robert Mondavi Fume Blanc: from Napa, California. Plush, exotic aromas of guava, passion fruit and verbena layer over flavors of ripe white peaches and nectarines on the palate, wrapped in mouth-watering acidity and extending into a lively finish. 89 Points – Wine Enthusiast "Not clear why the winery has to identify this on the front label as Sauvignon Blanc after all these years of calling it Fumé Blanc, but it’s an awfully good wine, especially at this price. Dry and crisply acidic, it shows mouthwateringly clean flavors of citrus fruits, gooseberries and minerals." Sale $13.99 Regular $18.99
2007 Robert Mondavi Chardonnay: from Napa Valley, California. Fresh and appealing, the 2007 Napa Valley Chardonnay opens with aromas of citrus and orange spice, underlain with subtle hints of white flowers and crème brulée. Flavors of crisp pear and citrus blossom in the mouth, with an intriguing tinge of savoriness and minerality, all supported by well-integrated oak. 90 Points – The Wine Advocate "The 2007 Napa Chardonnay reveals more hazelnut, oak, citrus oil, tropical fruit, and orange blossom characteristics. Although it is a good effort, it is not twice as good as the introductory Chardonnay, even though it’s priced twice as high. However, it should last 3-4 years or longer. " Sale $13.99 Regular $21.99
2009 Ferrari Carano Chardonnay: from Sonoma, California. A full-bodied Chardonnay, this wine delights with aromas of apple, a hint of graham cracker, floral notes, and honey, perfectly balanced by flavors of lemon and pear on the entry and lingering, creamy marshmallow, toasted oak notes. This versatile, full-bodied Chardonnay pairs perfectly with seafood, poultry, white meats, and dishes with cream sauces. The ripe bell pepper and gooseberry flavors with hints of pungency sit well with the supporting tropical fruit flavors. A well-balanced wine showing the crisp, vivacious acidity associated with this style. 91 Points – Wine & Spirits "Brancott sets the style for clean, oceanic Marlborough sauvignon with this mouthwatering wine. There's a touch of flint in the aroma, bright passionfruit flavors and fresh acidity to balance it." Sale $10.99 Regular $13.99

2011 Pascual Toso Torrontes: from Mendoza, Argentina. This grape variety is known as one of the distinguished grapes from Argentina. The yellow color with its highlights of silver and green makes the Pascual Toso Torrontés immediately attractive and unique. Rose and jasmine aromas on the nose, this wine has a fresh, young palate and soft acidity. Enjoy with white meats, fish, shellfish and delicate sauces. $11.99
2010 Montes Alpha Carmenere: from Colchagua Valley, Chile. 90% Carmenère and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep and live ruby red color. The wine has a very elegant and evident Carmenère tepidity,
showing lovely black pepper aromas with hints of red berries, chocolate, a bit of vanilla and black plums. In the mouth is distinctively smooth, with rounded and soft tannins. Long finish. The oak is beautifully integrated and balanced. Decant for at least an hour for better enjoyment, allowing the wine to open up. $22.99
2010 Pinyolet Garnacha: from Monsant, Spain. This is EXCLUSIVE to our store and is VERY limited. 90 Points – The Wine Advocate “The 2010 Pinyolet Garnacha (100%) was sourced from organically farmed vines planted in 1962. T...he wine spent 6 months in stainless steel on its lees. Purple in color, it offers up aromas of spice box, lavender, and black cherry. Savory and forward in the glass, it is a grapy, succulent effort for drinking over the next 5 years as well as an excellent value.” These 50 year-old organically farmed vines produce dense, richly concentrated fruit. From high-elevation Montsant, they also offer wonderfully bright and balanced acidity. With no oak aging, this is a completely pure (and hedonistic) expression of the Garnacha (Grenache) grape. While eminently chuggable, this wine is deceptively complex. That is, if you can resist knocking it all back in record time. My advice? Pour some in a decanter and hide it for an hour while you enjoy a glass straight from the bottle. When you come back to the aerated juice, you’ll discover a wealth of complex spice, lavender and savory earth notes. Better yet, invite some friends over, decant one bottle and open another! Compare how the wine evolves over the evening with some straightforward grub – herb-roasted chicken, grilled pork tenderloin, etc. $13.99
2008 La Maialina Gertrude: from Tuscany, Italy. 88 Points – The Wine Advocate “The 2008 Gertrude is mostly Sangiovese with a touch of Cabernet and Merlot. It is a plush wine loaded with jammy, ripe fruit and sweet spices. This is a much more internationally styled wine than the rest of the offerings from La Maialina. It, too, is a terrific value. Anticipated maturity: 2011–2014.” $11.99
2009 Chateau Pesquie Terrasses: from Rhone Valley, France. 90 Points - Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate "Another of my favorite estates in the up-and-coming Cotes du Ventoux appellation, Pesquie’s inexpensive 2009 Terrasses is a custom cuvee put together by American importer Eric Solomon. Composed of 70% Grenache (from 60-year-old vines) and 30% Syrah (from 30-year-old vines), aged in neutral oak, and bottled unfined and unfiltered, this 10,000-case cuvee hits every sweet spot on the palate. Tasting more like a Chateauneuf du Pape than an inexpensive Cotes du Ventoux, this dense ruby/purple-colored wine offers up scents of licorice, black cherries, raspberries, pepper, and meat juices. Medium to full-bodied with a structured, well-delineated mouthfeel, good freshness, a heady finish, and firm, but well-balanced tannins, it should drink nicely for 2-3 years." (08/10) 89 points and a Smart Buy from the Wine Spectator: "Ripe and suave, with supple tannins that meld into the plum and boysenberry fruit, all laced with incense, black tea and pastis notes. Dark but pure on the finish. Grenache and Syrah. $13.992009 Celler de Capcanes Mas Donis Barrica: from Montsant, Spain. 90 Points – International Wine Cellar “2009 Mas Donis Barrica Old Vines from Montsant, 85% Garnacha and 15% syrah, raised in French and American barrels that range from new to five years old): Vivid ruby. Turns more tangy on the finish, which clings with very good tenacity.” 89 Points – The Wine Advocate. $13.99
2009 Montes Alpha Pinot Noir: from Casablanca, Chile. Beautiful and delicate ruby red color. Intense and elegant nose with predominance of strawberries and flowery hints that all together makes this Pinot Noir a very lively, harmonious and generous wine. In the palate is clean, well balanced, with soft rounded tannins and a good level of acidity. The wine is lengthy in the mouth showing a well integrated and balanced oak. 2009 Zuccardi Q Malbec: from Mendoza, Argentina. Zuccardi Q Malbec 2009 is the blend of three unique vineyard sites. It shows a red violet color, with bluish hues. Intense red and black fruits aromas. Spicy, violet and chocolate nuances. Silky entry with great structure, soft and mature tannins. Intense fruity flavors and a persistent finish. 91 Points – Wine Enthusiast “"A home run in middle-tier Malbec. Excellent power and balance are on display. It's firm, minerally and tight, but with generous berry and cassis aromas and flavors along with ample coffee, spice and mocha qualities. Impressive, especially given the price tag: drink now through 2014.” $20.99
2008 Mas Doix Salanques: from Priorat, Spain. Its purple color speaks to how highly concentrated and extracted this wine is, and the floral aromas, black fruit and chalky minerality speak to the pedigree of the vineyards. On the palate, the wine is completely balanced, with full body, good acid, ripe tannins, and a velvety mouthfeel. 91 Points – The Wine Advocate "The entry level is Salanques with an annual production ranging from 18-25,000 bottles. The 2008 Salanques is made up of 65% Garnacha, 20% Carinena, and the balance Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The owners consider 2008 to be one of the top 3 vintages of the decade, "a great vintage with low yields and vibrant acidity." Its older vines were aged for 12 months in 50% new French oak while the younger vines were aged in second year barrels. Medium purple in color with a fragrant nose of cedar, mineral, spice box, lavender, black cherry, and blueberry, on the palate it is smooth-textured, intense, and concentrated with 2-3 years of aging potential. It will perform optimally from 2014 to 2023.” 91 Points – International Wine Cellar "Vivid ruby. Sexy, intensely perfumed aromas of red and dark berry preserves, spices and minerals. Silky and sweet on the palate, with very good depth and clarity to its raspberry and mulberry flavors. Shows no rough edges and drinks very easily right now but I have no doubt that this will be even better with a few more years of bottle age. This is pretty suave for the money.” $27.99
2008 Dinastia Vivanco Crianza: from Rioja, Spain. The bouquet consists of mature red berries, with hints of smoke, vanilla, and spice. Well-structured in the mouth, this Crianza is expressive and meaty and possesses a good balance of red fruit and toasted flavors. The tannins are mature and lead to an elegant, long finish. While this wine can be enjoyed now, it will also keep for 5-10 years. #59 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2011. 90 Points – Wine Spectator "Velvety and voluptuous, this generous red delivers plum, blackberry, chocolate and toast flavors, with broad, soft tannins and just enough acidity to stay lively. The finish is graceful. Drink now through 2016. 55,000 cases made." 90 Points – The Wine Advocate "The 2008 Dinastia Vivanco Crianza is made from 100% Tempranillo and aged for 16 months in French and American oak. Balsam wood, tobacco, cinnamon, clove, violets, and black fruit aromas lead to a ripe, sweetly-fruited, nicely proportioned Crianza that is likely to blossom for another 1-2 years and drink well through 2020.” $16.99
